Finalist in the 2010 D-BOYS special unit audition, Maeyama soon afterwards joined the troupe D2 in December and immediately started working as an actor.

His first major work in the stage production Musical Nintama Rantaro (2011). However, he is arguably best known as playing the phantom antagonist and psychotic serial killer Sora| Gremlin in the Kamen Rider series, Kamen Rider Wizard (2013).
