Since first appearing as the mysterious high school student in the quirky drama Atami no Sousakan (2010), Yamazaki went on act in a number of popular dramas in supporting roles before his debut as a leading male in Control Tower | Kanseitou (2011). The role opening several doors to larger more substantial roles in TV dramas, as well as, more male leads in popular film titles such as Another (2012) and L-DK (2014). The year 2014 also marked Kento’s debut on stage in the 2014 edition of the Satomi Hakkenden saga stageplay, in the chairman role of Inuzaka Shino.

Tokyo born, Kento is affliated with Stardust Promotion, one the leading talent agencies in Japan. First sighted near Harajuku station, Kento was scouted in nineth grade and soon afterwards started working within the entertainment industry. He first worked as a mens model in the magazine “Pichiermon” (2009) before his debut in the drama Atami no Sousakan. He has since gone on to become one of Japans most popular younger actors on the rise with job opportunities in both television and on film and the publication of three photobooks. The most recent released December 2015, titled “Yamazaki Kento Scene# 20”.
