Grand Prix winner of the 4th D-BOYS audition (2007). The son of a designer, Usui inspired to be a model from an early age, however in the wake of joining D-BOYS wanted to pursue an acting career.  His first break out role in the Tokusatu Super Sentai series “Engine Sentai Go-onger” (2008) as Go-on Green.

Usui is also very active in D-Stage productions, appearing in both Shakespeare plays “Merchant of Venice” and “Twelfth Night” (both times as female characters), and says that above all he would love to perform “Macbeth“.

Furthermore in 2013 he spent six months in the United States where he studied and went to drama school in both New York and Los Angeles.
